ParkGrounds has been around for a couple of years and didn’t find it until about a year ago, nestled in a residential neighborhood near Little 5 Points. It had your standard coffee offerings and free wi-fi, but a couple of quirks like a cereal bar and an expansive dog park attached to the cafe.
I met Chip and Bobb at the Counter Culture cupping who’ve made many changes to the coffeeshop I knew a year ago.
In addition to a quick cup of joe, they offer multiple varietals using a pour-over method and also new hot food options. I would’ve taken a photo of the R-Town breakfast bagel(2 eggs scrambled, cheddar jack cheese & tomato) I had but I was hungry — sorry y’all! The guys over @ Counter Culture held a great cupping for guests while the dogs barked outside.
It’s quite the happening place on a sunny Sunday. It’s not all about coffee however, among other events on tap, Todd Rubin from the Republic of Tea holding a Tea 101 session on April 7th. Check out their website for other events and follow them at @ParkGrounds on Twitter.
