Next week baristas from 52 countries will descend on Atlanta for the World Barista Championship, just one of the events happening at the mammoth SCAA coffee expo. The event started in Monte Carlo and 2000 and it’s only the second time it’s been held in the US. Atlanta also hosted the Southeast Barista Championship a few months ago at King Plow.

If you’re not able to make it to the Georgia World Congress Center, the event will be streamed live at the WBC’s website worldbaristachampionship.com . For additional details, check out their full press release I’ll have more information about SCAA next week.

Obviously this event hasn’t happened yet, so I don’t have a plethora of beautiful photos to share with you from the event, but I have chosen a few from a coffee cupping at Method Coffee a couple of months ago. Method’s also the place where I picked up the glorious coffee I’m drinking this morning, Intelligentsia Anjilanaka, an organic coffee from Bolivia.
