Back to Antico Pizza

Oh, Antico Pizza… There have been plenty of changes since Antico Pizza crept onto the scene last fall…the availability of seating, a POS system replacing handwritten tickets, lunch hours…but the important details are still the same — authentic ingredients, pizza ovens imported from Naples, and a fun atmosphere are the same as they ever were.

Johnny Di Palma

The Quattro Stagioni (The Four Seasons), super-sized pie with toppings from four popular pizzas: the San Gennaro , Pomodorini, Capricciosa and the Diavola.

On previous visits I’ve only had my iPhone, with a few pizza shots taken at home with my real camera. I visited again with a couple of blogger friends and snapped a couple of shots. The benefit of eating with a large group of course, being the ability to try a number of pies. The Diavaola has always been my favorite, with its spicy sopressata, pepperonata & bufala…but trying the San Gennaro has me questioning my loyalty. For a video taste of Antico – check out the CNN feature of owner Giovanni Di Palma’s son Johnny slinging pies.
