Book Chang Dong

I’ve been on a bit of an Asian kick lately, and Korean food is very new to me. I love trying out new spots, and this past weekend a friend who’s a fellow photographer from Alabama came through town he invited me to check out Book Chang Dong with him.

You can’t beat a bowl of soup on a cold day, and my go-to soup tends to be pho, my favorite place in town being Pho #1 on Buford Highway. We ended up all getting a bowl of beef & tofu soup and Korean BBQ. My favorite part of Korean cuisine are the tons of side dishes (banchan) that are piled on the table for sharing.

Sizzling hot bowls of deliciousness? Check. Double Check.

Needless to say, I didn’t eat much for several hours afterwards.

February 7, 2010 - 3:15 pm Dokiro Imaka - Everything looks delicious... however this Book Chang Dong is a blatant imitation of the original BCD chain that started out in Los Angeles and spread to Seattle, South Korea, and Japan. I don't know why they would rip off such a ubiquitous name from the West Coast if their food really is that good.
