Good luck Hardy! Natural wine and a visit to Michel-Schlumberger

Hardy Wallace, dirtysouthwine.com

Who’s this crazy guy completely in his element in the hills of California? That’s Hardy Wallace, a friend of mine who has been working hard and living his dream with Murphy-Goode Winery in Sonoma wine country. He’s since announced a new gig at The NPA and Michel-Schlumberger Winery and I couldn’t be happier for him.

Natural wine is one of his passions, and when in San Francisco in the fall he made sure to take Tami and I to Terroir, a natural wine merchant and bar in SoMA where we had a great time.

I spent a week in Sonoma last year during Thanksgiving and Michel-Schlumberger was one of our stops. It’s an incredibly beautiful property and, as I discussed with my new friend Jenna while I was out there, our photos can’t do justice in describing how beautiful Sonoma is. I can only imagine how beautiful it’ll be to wake up to this view every day.

You’ll have to visit — but in the meantime,  I’ll of course indulge you with a few photos. Please join me in congratulating Hardy in this next chapter in California!

Cheers!

I regret that you captured my not so attractive side in the pic of me, but the beauty of the winery is captured perfectly in your pictures as is Hardy's enthusiasm for the place. It was an honor having you here. Come see us again soon. Jim

March 1, 2010 - 5:46 pm Sean - Fabulous! We were just up there on Friday, and while it looks very different now -- all green and lush, instead of autumnal reds and oranges -- it is no less beautiful. And yeah, Hardy's digs don't suck. I could wake up to that every morning.
