Out of all the photography apps housed on my iPhone, Hipstamatic gets the most use these days. The app has a ton of options for making your digital photos look like film without spending time in Photoshop. After discovering a tweet from Octane stating that this month’s Thursday Night Throwdown champs were from a coffee shop I was unfamiliar with, I took the scenic drive up to Milton, GA (near Alpharetta & Roswell) to check it out.

Element previously held a franchise from Jittery Joe’s out of Athens, GA and is now independent, serving Intelligentsia Coffee from Chicago, and is now the first coffee shop in Georgia offering coffee from Portland’s Stumptown Coffee Roasters. The folks here are friendly and, like their intown brethren ( Octane, ParkGrounds) incredibly knowledgeable about coffee & constantly practicing their craft.

Element’s definitely worth a stop and they’ve got plenty of bags of beans for your home-brewing pleasure. For more info & photos, check out the write-up in The Beacon.
