Chef Kevin Gillespie & Design Sponge

One of my favorite design websites Design*Sponge runs a weekly food post with chefs and bloggers worldwide and has been featuring recipes from Top Chef participants –this week the spotlight is on Woodfire Grill chef Kevin Gillespie. My friends photographer Matt Armendariz & stylist Adam Pearson shot the recipe in LA and I shot Kevin here in Atlanta. Kevin has been making the rounds at farmer’s markets and I snapped these shots at the Piedmont Park Green Market last weekend. Check out his recipe for Brunswick stew on D*S.

July 24, 2010 - 12:48 pm Joe - goes without saying, but nice shots. I haven't read my manual for my camera yet, but light balance seems to be a pretty critical thing. and I still haven't eaten at Kevin's restaurant. What's wrong with me??

October 4, 2010 - 11:00 pm Meg - We were lucky enough to spend 24 hours with Kevin G and Andreas a month ago when they did a Pork Roast for us and our wonderful employees. So amazing!! They are both just wonderful, down to earth, UGA fans and AMAZING dancers!! And all that was before the amazing meal!! One of my best weekends, I'm lucky to know them both better and to top it off, The Angry Chef made breakfast with pulled KG pork and doritos!! How awesome is that!!! So proud of my Atl chefs that I can call friends!!
