I had the pleasure of attending the inaugural event of the Atlanta edition of Creative Mornings. Local branding agency, Matchstic, hosted the event, with generous sponsorship by MailChimp. So, if you’re looking for some fresh new branding, or a new e-mail campaign provider — check these guys out whether you’re in Atlanta or not. In short, Creative Mornings is a monthly lecture series, you get free coffee out of the deal and an inspiring talk & Q&A with a member of the city’s creative community. Check out the website for details.

As you might have guessed, Octane Coffee provided the coffee for the event. I snapped a couple shots with my iPhone as I always do and thought I’d post them for you. Octane is joined by pastry artisans at Little Tart Bakeshop. They’ve joined forces in Grant Park, and provided fuel & sugar for the private event last week. A little birdie tells me ( aka the @octaneatthejane twitter account) that their soft open is tomorrow and they’ll be serving up their signature coffee from 8am-noon and 10am-1pm pastries will be up for grabs this weekend Friday-Sunday.

The new space is open, with a loft feel and plenty of light. In addition to coffee, as at the Westside location, Grant Park will also have a full bar, and new to Octane, table service in the evening.

The coffee’s delicious as always, and the pain au chocolate I tried was full of flaky deliciousness. I might be craving it right now. A number of folks who have worked at Octane, past & present have become friends and I wish them the best of luck in this new venture.
