Look After Your Health Mo Bros

Moustache season is here! If you’ve seen a few more folks around with moustaches lately, then there’s a good chance they’re doing it. Movember started as a bunch of guys in Australia bringing sexy back with their moustaches. They’ve since turned it into a fundraiser that now raises millions of dollars per year to benefit male cancer initiatives. This year’s beneficiaries are the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.

I have to say, that I’m pretty fond of my goatee, or at least I was before it was shaved off on November 1st by the fine folks, and Movember sponsors The Art of Shaving.. When a number of friends including Tim Gaddis of Star Provisions, Christopher Watkins of Eat, Drink, Repeat, Chad David Shearer of Caren West PR, Michael Erickson of Fifth Group Restaurants, just to name a few, were jumping on board to raise money for male cancer initiatives I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. I’m a proud member of Team Staches for Cashes!

High Road Craft Ice Cream & Sorbet

We’ve raised a nice chunk of cash so far thanks to the generosity of friends and folks in the community but we wanted to do more, and have organized a fundraiser on Tuesday, November 21st at DBA Barbecue in the Highlands. There will be food, booze, a photo booth, and the nice people at DBA Barbecue are donating 20% of sales from 7-9pm to support the cause. We’ve also lined up some great raffle prizes from local businesses.
