It may be in the 60s (!) outside again here in Atlanta today but we’re in the thick of the holiday season here on Savory Exposure and Virginia-Highland is decked out in Christmas lights and colorful displays, as seen above at Paper Source. They’re my go-to spot for letterpress cards and a break from the Hallmark norm.

Today’s Holiday Exposure post brings us to the latest location in Kristen Hard’s chocolate empire, Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Company in Virginia-Highland. You’ll find the luxurious truffles and hot chocolate that made the chocolatier famous in Inman Park, as well as the indoor seating that made its debut in the Buckhead location I’ve profiled previously.

The store is packed with holiday gift ideas ranging from boxes of macarons, coffee from local roaster Batdorf & Bronson, and ready-made gift baskets. The housemade marshmallows are not to be missed, especially the new-to-me cinnamon flavored ones.

If you’re unable to pick up their signature chocolate mix, cocoa nibs, chocolate bark or Love Bars in person, you’re in luck as their creations are available in their online shop. If you want a scoop of High Road Craft ice cream, or bottles of Blenheim’s ginger ale (tip: it’s excellent with bourbon) – you’ll have to stop by in person.
