“Yo, VIP, let’s kick it!
Ice ice baby
Ice ice baby
All right stop
Collaborate and listen
Ice is back with my brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Then I flow that a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop?
Yo, I don’t know
Turn off the lights and I’ll glow”

Yes, folks – Buckhead has birthed a new place for plenty of ice and bathed in a nice blue glow.

$14 martinis, cocktail waitresses, a strapping bartender that hails from Oxford, England and a master sushi chef collide at Czar Ice Bar in the East Andrews party complex.

I stopped in on the way to dinner to snap a few shots for a writing assignment and decided to share a few photos on the blog. The big draw at Czar is the bar which is a block of ice and an insane vodka list with 300 bottles on tap.

I’m more of a bourbon and gin person as of late, but if they had tastings I think I’d be swayed to find out more about the liquor of choice with a list of this magnitude.  Another feather in Czar’s hat is a bit controversial and I was alerted later on of a bit of a snafu over the weekend with their signature liquid nitrogen cocktails.

I debated not to post about Czar, but hey, the photos are decent and I’ve been a bad, bad blogger as of late and I promise y’all I’m not going anywhere.

Mr. Oxford was kind enough to demo the cookies & cream cocktail and lychee berry martini (in a more photo-friendly choice of glassware). There are a number of clubs in the strip center so I’d imagine it’d be a fun stop on barhopping excursion – (Stout, Cellar 56 & Prohibition are all stumbling distance from Czar.
