The Beast Feast is coming

I love it when my friends collaborate on events and this one in particular should be a great time. My good friend & fellow writer Ale Sharpton is hosting a party this Thursday with chefs from around Atlanta for great food, desserts, craft beer along with live art and music. The Beast Feast is a perfect way to get you into the Halloween spirit, with no costume required.

Chef Eddie Russell of Parish

If you missed the VILLAINS pop up at Miso Izakaya, chef Jared Pyles will be there with a special creation, along with my friend ( and most recently, proud papa!) Eddie Russell, formerly of the Four Coursemen, and now Parish in Inman Park.

Chef Jared Lee Pyles, of VILLAINS

Mike LaSage of Bone Lick BBQ, Joey Ahn of SOHO and Matt Deckard of Deckard’s Tavern round out the bill. High Road Craft and OMG Cup and Cakes will satisfy the sweet tooth. Sweetwater Brewery will of course keep the pint glasses filled.

The full rundown of the event follows and tickets can be purchased here.

The month of October in Atlanta will never be the same. Georgia capital’s finest, most eccentric and eerily talented culinary geniuses will demonstrate how beastly they are in their kitchens via extraordinary fashion on Thursday, October 18, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Burgeoning creative agency AllWays Open Creative (Ale Sharpton, Eric Nine, and Mike Moore) will host the inaugural Beast Feast at SweetWater Brewery, featuring five of the most heralded chefs who are responsible for creating a dish to pair with SweetWater’s revered line of craft brews. The result is satisfying the ravenous, yet critical palates of the ATL during the evening. To embrace the theme of Halloween, the design work of AllWays Open will first artistically transform each chef into the beast of their choice through various digital art platforms. Once finished, these works of art will premiere at one of the most anticipated dining events of the year. Already making headlines across the country with their first I’m A Beast art exhibition on the eve of Halloween in 2010 using 13 visionaries and hipsters throughout Atlanta (www.imabeastcollection.com), followed by the highly successful filled-to-capacity I’m A Beast: The Second Killing art exhibit on August 30, 2012, AllWays Open focuses on the culinary arts the third time around.

Co-Owner, Chef, P’Cheen/Co-Owner, Executive Chef, Bone Lick BBQ Mike LaSage being morphed into a pitchfork-wielding satanic demon, and Parish Executive Chef Eddie Russell becoming a haunting paradox—“Famine” of the Four Horsemen—are just two of the five culinary geniuses turned nightmare-inducing beasts. Executive Chef Joey Ahn (SOHO Bistro), Jared Lee Pyles (Villains of the 4th Ward), and Matt Deckard, Executive Chef, Deckard’s and Tappan Street will also have their portraits unveiled during the evening as well. Each participant of this quintet will create an exclusive dish for the limited VIP tickets ($39.99, which also includes desserts and gift bag).

Although the chefs’ dishes will require plates, one Beast—SweetWater Head Brewer Nick Nock—will be filling pint glasses or SweetWater pint glasses with numerous variations of his demonic concoctions of water, yeast, hops and barley—crafted ales—that will be strategically paired with the five chefs’ dishes. Not a beer drinker? Wine tastings of co-sponsor Piccolo Tesoro Rose Moscato will be poured throughout the night!

For dessert, East Atlanta’s revered OMG Cup and Cakes and local gourmet ice cream makers, High Road, will be making extraordinary treats using SweetWater’s beer and award-winning Picolo Tessuro Moscato as well.

If satisfying the hundreds of guests with delectable food, desserts, beer, and wine was not enough, there will be live art by three revered Atlanta artists—Eric NineJeremy Ray, Michi Meko—and the world renowned DJ Kemit spinning, and many more surprises in store.

The Beast Feast will be such an unforgettable night, even the thought of it is scary!

Cost:

$39.99 VIP in advance which includes the feast, dessert, gift bag, access to art exhibit

$19.99 for beer, wine, access to art exhibit all night. Both are killer deals!
