One Flew South


For someone like myself, who did very little dining outside of the home until my 20s, it’s an honor when someone seeks out your opinion on food. When Creative Loafing reached out for my opinion on a dish I’d like to have in Atlanta before I die, I think panic set in a little bit. There are so many amazing places to eat in Atlanta and I feel blessed to be a part of the food community that we have here. I had a fantastic octopus dish from Empire State South recently, a delicious plate of beet and goat cheese agnolotti at No. 246, and Mike Patrick’s Storico Fresco pasta makes me feel like a gourmet chef in my own kitchen. In the end, I chose the dish below as a standout, that I had on my way out to San Diego for vacation. A nice upscale dish, from a chef that I don’t get to see enough of. What is it?
